Feel Good, Authentic Torrey Pines Romantic Engagement Photos

I met up with Erica and Chris for a stunning engagement session at Torrey Pines State Beach, where they also took time to celebrate their recent pregnancy. We hiked up to the tip-top, and sped (slowly) down to the water just in time for the clouds to show a magnificent cotton candy sunset! It was one of those sunsets you take the time to enjoy and take it all in.

I’m so excited for what’s to come for these two and their wedding in Mexico next year!

One of my favorite couples, Alex & Will, and their One of my favorite couples, Alex & Will, and their incredible wedding in Alabama. I journeyed with them from NYC for their engagement, to their family’s gorgeous 500 acre estate for their rehearsal dinner, to Montgomery for their wedding day. Take me back to the South, where the cicadas sang through the night, where Will sat with his grandma, in the same pews as he did as a young boy. And where the jazz Second Line parade walk reverberated through downtown Montgomery. So grateful to witness and document lasting moments near and far. 💙
There’s something so special about engagement sess There’s something so special about engagement sessions in the key of a date night. Familiarity of how you normally spend time with the one you love - cold brew, ice cream and a quiet hand-in-hand evening walk around your favorite neighborhood harbor. Chatting about the day that passed by - healthy habits of a great enduring relationship. This was all Amy + Humad’s idea, and I loved finding and observing these beautiful moments with them. No over the top production, just honest and authentic time spent together. Truly, truly looking forward to their wedding day later this year 💙
When the owner of The Wedding Plan and Company rea When the owner of The Wedding Plan and Company reached out to me to photograph her niece’s wedding, I immediately knew I couldn’t miss it. I knew it would be a wedding on the sand in New Jersey, but what I didn’t know was how intentional and intimate Brennan and Kyle’s wedding day was going to be. Everyone who truly loved them were there - even her sister (initially could not attend), who flew in from Israel and surprised her. Happiness was tangible this day. The ocean breeze and the cheers, the sand between the toes, the ice cream sandwich shared with your deeply-missed sister and the candles that burned until the late hours of the night. Some weddings leave such a lasting impression on me. This is one of them. Revisiting Ryan and Jessica’s Ribault Club wedding Revisiting Ryan and Jessica’s Ribault Club wedding in Jacksonville, 2019. New photos stuck out to me, and the story goes on to tell of such a loving family I’ve had the honor of photographing several times over the years. They’ve impacted my life in a huge way when they gave me my first start in New York, for Jacqui and Rob’s wedding 12 years ago (pictured in image #16). There was no way I wasn’t shooting R + J’s wedding. My wife and I had just welcomed in our first baby, but I knew no one else could shoot it. No other photographer knew this family more, no other photographer had the chance to document moments like these for this family. I quickly flew out, then flew back home the morning after the wedding. The sun sparkled through the Spanish moss hanging on the great oak trees. The creek waters calmly flowed alongside an evening walk, and the celebration continued through the night. Image #16 is one of my proudest moments, capturing all 4 of their weddings within the same family. I’m so grateful to be able to step into deeply personal moments, and put my paint brush (camera) to the canvas. @theribaultclub
